Talk by Anand Babu on Thunder: Free Software and Super Computing

Venue: TIFR, Colaba (www.tifr.res.in) 11am on Sunday 22nd.

Anand Babu, the main hacker of Thunder, the second fastest super
computer made with GNU/Linux, is visiting Mumbai on his way back to
US.  He will be talking about design and development of Thunder Super
Computer and its associated Free Software stack.

Thunder can perform 23 trillion floating point operations per
second (peak) yielding the best price/performance ratio at 86.7%
efficiency. (highest efficiency rating recorded at this scale).
